The Power of The Appeal

By now, you might remember my motto: "When in doubt, appeal." Because let’s be honest—insurance companies seem to live by their motto: "When in doubt, deny." Or sometimes, just deny outright.

Today, I want to share a little inspiration. This piece from The Wall Street Journal highlights how appealing can work—and often does. You don’t have to be fighting to receive treatment for a rare disease to push back. Common conditions deserve coverage, too. This action can mean the difference between your health and continued illness.

Now, more than ever, our health care system is at risk. If you’re not in a position to fight for yourself, please don’t hesitate to seek help. Every successful appeal isn’t just a personal win—it’s a small step toward holding insurers accountable for all of us.
